Pay Revision Report for CPSE workers submitted to the Government
The Third PRC Committee Report, containing the Pay Revision recommendations for the CPSE employees, was submitted to the government last week.
The centre had, last June, constituted a committee chaired by Justice Satish Chandra, to look into the wages and allowances being given to more than 13 lakh employees of the 83 public companies being run by the Central Government. The committee, consisting of six high-level officials, has submitted its 200-page report.
The report has given lengthy reasons why they were unable to recommend a Pay Matrix Table for the CPSE employees, similar to the version used for the central government employees.
Public Sector Undertakings have been divided into three categories – Maharatna, Navratna, and Miniratna. The report talks extensively about the loss-incurring Public Sector companies, known as Sick Units.
